WKSF World Championship 2019
Dear Friends, Athletes, Judges, Kettlebell Enthusiasts from all over the world, I write these words at the end of the second WKSF World Championship. Undoubtedly, we have reached a level of participation never reached before in history. 36 were the Countries in the competition, about 400 the athletes.
Everything we have seen and experienced in this Championship shows unequivocally how the quality level of the Kettlebell Sport is constantly increasing: the festive, family atmosphere, far from the “competition whims”, to which we were sadly accustomed in the past, has been in perfect harmony with the technical level of the athletes and the intransigence of the judges in observing the rules and quality of the lifts, all under the banner of mutual respect.
I want to share with you, through these words, my thoughts: this is the confirmation that the road we have taken is the right one. Despite the thousand problems and the many difficulties that the management of an International Organization like ours entails, there are moments like those that we have just lived to give me, and I believe to give to us, the esteem and the determination to go further and further. We’re doing it, we’ll succeed.
